Essential Duties and Functions:
Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects
Operate a full range of heavy equipment (i.e. skid steer loader, excavator, motor grader, backhoe, compact roller, front end loader, dozer, shoulder machine, concrete paver, concrete belt placer, concrete cure and texture machine, etc.)
Operate and maintain other equipment as needed
Perform inspections and maintenance of equipment such as greasing, checking oil, water, and tires/tracks
Perform physical duties about grade prep and/or concrete work (i.e. shovel, sledgehammer, rake, etc.)
Follow, enforce, and promote all company safety and quality requirements at all times
Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours)
Position Requirements:
Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test
Basic mechanical skills
One to three years of experience in heavy equipment
Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Knowledge of road construction materials, processes, and industry requirements
Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal
