Job Title: Quality Assurance TechnicianJob Description Ensure all food safety control points (CP) and critical control points (CCP) are monitored and reviewed for compliance. Report any deviations to the lead, supervisors, or production. Ensure verification and calibration of equipment. Perform laboratory duties related to analysis, sampling on raw materials and finished goods. Perform quality assurance SAP functions. Product monitor and review net weights on all products produced. Evaluate physical attributes: code, shape of product, bake out, sanitizer concentration check. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any food safety/quality deviations and/or failures. Follow USDA and FDA regulations. Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.Hard Skills

Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Norwalk, Iowa.Work EnvironmentHours:Standard work week is 4x10, 2:30pm-1am. It's a rotating 4-day schedule which would include weekend work. Will have 3 days off every week but what days off rotate based off of their schedule. They will work the weekends throughout the month.Pay: $19/hr. base + $1/hr. differential on 2nd shift = $20/hr.2:30 pm - 1 am (4 days with every other Saturday)Schedule is dependent on production schedule so weekend work will happen. Will report to the new Quality Supervisor and then to the Food Safety and Quality Manager.The environment is a food manufacturer. It is a very loud environment because of their machinery running and includes a variety of different temperatures throughout ranging from hot to cold that candidates need to be comfortable to be in. Need to be able to eat/touch eggs.Safety is of the utmost importance. Will be walking/standing most of the time. Need to be comfortable with this and comfortable wearing all PPE and following General Manufacturing procedures and safety protocol. This will include wearing gloves, boot covers, long pants, lab coat, hair net, ear plugs. It is very clean since it is a food manufacturing environment! No acrylic nails are allowed. It is also a new building, so candidates will have all new equipment, etc. Quality Techs are on the production floor 80-90% of the time.
