We are seeking residents of the City of Des Moines, counties of Adair, Adams, Appanoose, Boone, Clarke, Dallas, Davis, Decatur, Greene, Guthrie, Jasper, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, Polk, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Story, Taylor, Union, Wapello, Warren, and Wayne to serve as Jurors for a mock trial to be held on May 15, 2024.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE? Adult residents of the City of Des Moines, counties of Adair, Adams, Appanoose, Boone, Clarke, Dallas, Davis, Decatur, Greene, Guthrie, Jasper, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, Polk, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Story, Taylor, Union, Wapello, Warren, and Wayne, Iowa, ages 18-70.
Date of Mock Trial: May 15, 2024
Hours are from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM (with 1 hour lunch break)
REQUIREMENTS:
MUST BE a U.S. Citizen
MUST BE an Adair, Adams, Appanoose, Boone, Clarke, Dallas, Davis, Decatur, Greene, Guthrie, Jasper, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, Polk, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Story, Taylor, Union, Wapello, Warren, and Wayne County, resident for minimum 1 year
MUST BE 18 years of age or older
MUST HAVE a valid Iowa driver’s license or Iowa State I.D. showing an Adair, Adams, Appanoose, Boone, Clarke, Dallas, Davis, Decatur, Greene, Guthrie, Jasper, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, Polk, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Story, Taylor, Union, Wapello, Warren, and Wayne County address.
MUST SPEAK, READ & WRITE ENGLISH FLUENTLY
MUST HAVE a minimum High School Diploma, persons with college degrees are encouraged to participate
