Position Summary:

LDJ Manufacturing is seeking a Compliance Manager who can analyze our business method and insure that our operations are in compliance with all local, state and federal labor laws, as well as the laws that govern business practices. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for reviewing responses to official customer inquiries and correspondence with government agencies to ensure that they are complete and proper. If you have prior experience working in compliance in the manufacturing sector, we need you on our team. Our goal is to preserve the company's integrity by making sure we stay on a lawful and ethical course.

Principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.

Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies.

Conduct environmental audits to ensure adherence to environmental standards.

Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation.

File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies.

Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes.

Consult with external attorneys as necessary to address difficult legal compliance issues.

Discuss emerging compliance issues with management or employees.

Advise internal management on the implementation or operation of compliance programs.

Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures.

Prepare management reports regarding compliance operations and progress.

Monitor compliance systems to ensure their effectiveness.

Report violations of compliance or regulatory standards to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate or required.

Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes.

Verify that all firm and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.

Direct the development or implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures throughout an organization.

Develop and/or implement environmental compliance plans for programs, such as air quality, storm water, wastewater treatment, hazardous waste management, pollution prevention, or solid waste management.

Direct environmental programs, such as air or water compliance, aboveground or underground storage tanks, spill prevention or control, hazardous waste or materials management, solid waste recycling, medical waste management, indoor air quality, integrated pest management, employee training, or disaster preparedness.

Review or modify policies or operating guidelines to comply with changes to environmental standards or regulations.

Ideal Candidate will possess the following skills/experiences:

Proven experience as compliance manager.

In-depth knowledge of the trailer industry's standards and regulations.

Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.

A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality.

Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.

An analytical mind able to "see" the complexities of procedures and regulations.

Excellent communication skills.

You must be comfortable saying "no" when necessary and be result-oriented.

Education & Training:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field.

3+ years' experience in quality control or corporate policy auditing.

Advanced computer database and Microsoft Office software skills.

Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional certification is a plus.
