This role supports plant budgeting, financial analysis, and monthly close processes, providing insights that drive informed decision-making and operational improvements.Responsibilities:
Oversee daily transactional accounting, maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
Assist with plant budget preparation, review actual results, and provide variance analysis to support decision-making.
Regularly review and validate ingredient and finished product activity, ensuring accurate cost tracking and allocation to support product margin analysis.
Ensure expenses are allocated accurately across departments and entities, supporting financial control and visibility.
Conduct financial analysis on plant operations, standard costs, labor, yields, and manufacturing costs to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve processes.
Review and reconcile accounts monthly, prepare journal entries, intercompany allocations, and invoices for a smooth month-end close.
Process cash receipts, perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, and ensure accurate cash flow tracking.
Analyze and report significant variances between actual and budgeted results for each plant, offering insights and recommendations for performance enhancement.
Collaborate with the sales team to assess and approve credit terms, balancing customer needs with company risk.
Serve as a backup for all accounting functions, supporting procedure documentation for accuracy and consistency across the department.
Uphold and demonstrate company values in all tasks, ensuring professionalism and ethical standards.
Participate in additional projects to enhance accounting processes and support organizational goals.
Requirements:
Proven experience in transactional and general accounting.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
