Food Truck – line cook part time Saturdays Job in Davenport, IA
Sweet and Savory Crepes Food Trailer is looking for a reliable line cook to join us for the season. The pay starts at $15/hr. Experience in the food industry is a plus but with the right candidate can train on the job as well. Strong work ethics, good customer service, commitment and honesty are the important qualities we are looking for.
About the job: We sell crepes and gelato at Freight House Farmers Market, every Saturday Morning 1 May through October 31. Typical schedule will include 6:30am – 1:30pm (7 hours) on Saturdays. Sundays, occasional festivals and catering is a possibility that will be discussed later as an option. Shifts would include prep/catering/line cook/packing/breakdown/setup.

Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during food preparation and cooking.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of food items.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, grills, ovens, and fryers.
Participate in catering events as needed, assisting with meal preparation and presentation.
