Set up crew / Event staff
Job description
We currently have openings for a full-time set-up/tear down and delivery staff member for our rapidly growing fundraising business, Custom Fundraising Solutions of Eastern Iowa & Central Illinois. Our organization has given back nearly $315,000 to our local schools and we are looking for sharp and reliable set up/tear down and delivery event staff for our fundraising events.
Set up and tear down is done on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for 30-35 weekends per year. Each day consists of on average a 2-hour drive, 2 hours of set up, and 2 hours’ drive back. Including loading of the truck, each day would be 7–8-hour days. The following day would be the same for the tear down of the event.
During the week, the work consists of deliveries to our customers.
Our Associates are paid $15 to $20/hour depending on experience. We have a proven system and complete training, and support is provided.
There is travel involved as we are at a different location in the territory several weekends per month. Some events are 1.5 – 3 hours away.
This is a full-time position during the school year. There are no events during the summer, yet there would still be 20-30 hours of delivery work available during that time.
Ideal candidate qualities include:
Ability to drive/maneuver a 26' box truck
Ability to lift up to 70lbs
Positive attitude, goal oriented and driven
Able to follow directions and be self-motivated and efficient
REQUIRED: current driver’s license and good driving record
