Looking for part-time help in setting up tooling and producing parts using mechanical stamping presses. Must have at least 5 year's experience in stamping press work. Metal stamping and general job shop type work. Would be good for a recent retiree looking for 10-15 hours of work per week. MUST have background in metal stamping press work.
Responsibilities:
1. read and interpret drawings
2. Use precision tools to measure part quality to meet close tolerances.
3. Set up and operate stamping presses up to 125 tons and mechanical brake presses.
4. Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner.
5. Perform regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
6. Comply with all quality policies, specifications and instructions.
7. Plan necessary actions for the completion of a job.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in reading drawings and stamping press tooling set-up
2. Knowledge of mechanical stamping presses and brake presses.
3. Ability to use measuring tools to be 100% certain parts are within tolerances.
4. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
5. Must have at least a year experience driving a forklift.
6. Provide own measuring tools such as dial calipers, tape measures etc.
