ProCom covers markets such as: Commercial/Industrial Building Wiring, IP Camera Systems, Paging and Telephony, Card Access Systems, Nurse Call, among many others. Our industry is in a constant state of growth and we are in demand of a motivated individual who finds excitement in growing their knowledge of anything technical.
Low Voltage Tech Responsibilities for This Position Include:
- Installation and routing of CAT6 or fiber optic cables
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately for job site knowledge
- Prioritize upcoming tasks and anticipate required equipment and procedures
- Demonstrate ability to complete an overall job layout for projects of limited scope and size
- Enforce a safe jobsite and maintain compliance with company safety standards
- Installation and Termination of peripheral devices
- Maintenance and support, service calls of the installed systems
- Travel to various locations to replace/troubleshoot hardware equipment
- Monitor progress of work, delivery, and implementation
- Accurately complete required paperwork in a timely manner
Low Voltage Tech Preferred/Required skills and qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Experience in the communications industry preferred but not required
- Knowledge of telecommunication, data network, cabling and/or connectivity preferred
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills - verbal, written and listening
- Confident engaging with customers during the period of the project
- Solid attention to detail with good follow-through
- Ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated positive attitude
- Valid Driver's License (company vehicle provided)
- Ability to read, write & communicate in English
Low Voltage Tech Physical Requirements:
- Bend, lift and cairy equipment on a regular basis (up to 45 lbs)
- Bend, lift, twist, turn, and crawl into tight sjpaces to install devices and equipment
- Color vision acuity
- Ability to frequently climb up/down ladder (minimum 6') and perform extended overhead cabling/wiring from ladder
- Ability to travel within IL and IA areas, as well as occasional travel out of state. airline travel may be required
Pay: $18-$20/hour based on experience in the field

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday 8am-4:30 pm
- 1/2 Hour Lunch Break
- Occasional Overtime
- Occasional Weekends as Needed
Experience:
- Low Voltage Cable Installation: Experience preferred but will train the right candidate
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
