Description Are you a litigation attorney looking for a remote, nights/weekend, flexible job to supplement your regular income?Robert Half is partnering with a law firm that has a multi-state presence, and they are seeking a part time, remote but permanent litigation attorney to oversee cases. This company specializes in bankruptcy, consumer litigation, and debt negotiation. Experience in this practice area is not required. However, plaintiff-side and contingency-based experience is strongly preferred. This litigation attorney should have a true desire to help people who are in financial distress. Experience representing major credit card companies will preclude an attorney from taking this role.This is a long-term role with built-in flexibility (in terms of work hours and work location), so long as the attorney can reliably work 10-20 hours/month. The firm is open to attorneys who have their own practice, so long as they have the capacity to work part time hours.Must-have:
Civil - not criminal - litigation management experience, ideally on the plaintiff side: reviewing answers and handling settlement negotiations
Be barred, live in, and have litigation experience in Iowa
Nice-to-have:
Experience defending creditor lawsuits, or in the debt-settlement industry
Ability to speak Spanish
The pay listed above is general, depending on how many cases you have that month and how many hours you work (contingency). True compensation is based on the number of cases settled, but once ramped up (past 90 days) attorneys can expect to bring in at least $10,000 per month (for roughly 10-20 hours/month of work!).The start date for this part time & remote job is April 1, 2024.
