Volt is looking for a Machining Manufacturing Engineer to work on-site with our customer John Deere in Waterloo, IA on contingent assignment forecasted for 12 months. This position requires the employee to provide process engineer support to the daily workload involved in a manufacturing environment. Candidates must be well organized, be able to take on multiple, unrelated tasks at the same time, manage time efficiently and effectively, and have the motivation to work on project without needing full time supervision. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:Creating, updating, revising and modifying process documentation including routings and control plans.Designing tooling and fixtures using CREO.Vericut experience would be a plus.Tooling and gaging development and deployment.Tool preset program creation and updating Tool life investigation and documentationWork in multifunctional teams for trouble shooting problems or process improvementContinuous Improvement supportSAP data entry, form completion (related to skilled trades work orders and shipping procedures), and other transactions related to OFPExcel spreadsheet creation/ organizationRequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Degree or 10 years manufacturing experience.Will consider someone with a trade degree and 4+ years of CNC machining/programming background.Will also consider someone that is a recent Bachelor's graduate if they have some CNC machining/programming background.Manager would prefer candidates with engine manufacturing background. Strong English communication skills are very important for this roleThis person will work on a production floor.
