Work Shift: A Shift (United States of America)Now Accepting Rehire ApplicationsSummary This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.Duties/Responsibilities Maintenance Mechanic positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This includes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and Industrial equipment used in the porkprocessing industry, troubleshooting problems that occur in the day- to-day operation of the facility. The position requires performing work involving hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, conveyor maintenance, 3-phase wiring, AC/CD control wiring,welding and pneumatic systems.The Team Member will also set up, adjust and break down production line machinery and complete daily documentation that is required. Occasional lifting from 0-50 lbs.Must be available to work all shifts, including weekends, and available for overtime.Must be able to communicate effectively to all team members and management to resolve mechanical failures as well as be able to read manuals in order to repair equipment safely.Must be willing and able to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms.Must be willing and able to stand for 12 hours on hard floors. Must be willing and able to work in all environments of our processing facility such as Harvest, Cut/Converting, Rendering and Load- out/Freezer.Must be willing and able to work around the sight and the smell of meat (Pork) products or any other product present when processing meat.Environment is wet, humid, hot and cold. Temperatures can range 35 to greater than 90 degrees.Must be able to read and understand manuals, execute and document work completed on scheduling sheetRequirementsHigh School Diploma, GED or 1 year On-The-Job-training.Application and /or resume must show related work experience and/or training in these areas. Must have 1 years’ experience and or education in at least two of the following General Maintenance related areas; Mechanical troubleshooting, Electrical/Electronic troubleshooting, Hydraulic troubleshooting, PLC troubleshooting and Navigation, Welding/Fabrication, AC/DC Control Wiring, Motor Control, 3 Phase Wiring, Plumbing, Conveyor Maintenance, Hydraulics, Pneumatic systems.Preference given to applications from this location first, then those from other Tyson locations then externals.
