Sedona Staffing Services is currently looking for an Auto Glass Technician to join a locally owned business in the Cedar Falls area. This position would be Monday through Friday from 8 am to 430 pm with rotation of Saturdays on call. Hourly pay will be $14.00 to start with the option of wage increase after being hired on.
Job consists of but not limited to:
Working in a manufacturing facility, auto glass technicians install windshields or windows on new cars. These glass pieces are usually pre-cut to the appropriate sizes. After the technician selects the properly sized piece, he uses suction cups to take it to the vehicle. After placing the glass, the technician will affix it to the car using molding, clips or special glue.
Auto glass technicians repair cracked and broken windshields or car windows. They work in auto body repair shops or car dealerships.
Technicians treat glass to ensure it will stand up to any weather condition, such as rain or snow. They paint or spray a chemical treatment onto the outer surface of the windshield or window glass to protect it from damage caused by precipitation.
An auto glass technician may perform windshield and window repairs in the field.
