Description Robert Half is actively searching for a Business-to-Business Collections Specialist for a growing company. This Collections Specialist role will be based in the West Des Moines and will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity. Identify delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment
Accurately process bankruptcy filings when received
Manage all billing and reporting activities in line with deadlines
Maintain and update customer files to sustain data integrity
Abide by all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations
Manage inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
Maintain quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
Guarantee the processing of payments
Document all customer payments to the right reports
Requirements - AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred
Ability to survey and make decisions regarding customer accounts
Account reconciliation experience preferred
Expertise in commercial collections
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Business to business experience desired
Deep understanding of Aging Reports
2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired
