Description

The Senior Engineer II is a full-stack development position with emphasis on mobile and will be a member of the product development team who takes responsibility for implementing parts of the system architecture using best practices in an agile development environment. This will include coding, unit testing, using design patterns, learning new technologies, and becoming an expert in the system. The candidate will also be expected to provide technical leadership, architectural support, and overall solution design support.

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Follow our software development practices and methodologies.

Participate in scrum ceremonies, including Story Pointing, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.

Estimate time and effort by defining and planning development tasks.

Create and execute unit test cases.

Write code consistent with defined technology stack and standards.

Facilitates and assists in design sessions.

Technical mentor for other software developers.

Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.

Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

Job Requirements:

7+ years of professional experience using GitHub version control.

5+ years of professional experience connecting iOS and Android applications to RESTful API's.

5+ years of professional experience working with repositories, artifacts, and creating build & release pipelines in a Cloud platform, preferably Azure DevOps.

7+ years of professional experience in front-end web development with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ReactJS or Angular.

7+ years of dedicated work with the following Microsoft technologies; C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and Entity Framework.

5+ years in the following technologies: Relational database development (such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, etc.)

5+ years of professional experience in mobile development using at least one of the following: React Native, Swift, Objective-C, Xamarin, or Java.

Professional experience participating in a Scrum development environment.

Experience using and developing with container technology such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher/Wrangler.

Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming is required.

A solid understanding of the best practices of app design.

Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

Demonstrated ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines, remaining flexible, and react to project adjustments and alterations promptly, efficiently, and positively.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability.

The ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.

Proficiency with JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, and React Native is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have the following additional experience

Analyzing and recommending development strategies, process improvements, and standards.

Experience with one or more of the following technologies: React, AngularJS, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, Message queue-based designs/implementations, Ajax, Code repositories (such as Git and TFVC), Xamarin, SSIS. ASP.Net Web API.
