The Senior Lead Financial Crimes Officer will be responsible for leading the Financial Crimes Risk Management program to improve and enhance key initiatives, including delivering on strategy, program execution and people engagement initiatives.In this role, you will:
Provide key leadership to improve the FCRM risk program by simplifying the standardization and enhancement of the program.
Deliver FCRM Program improvements that enhance the usability of program outputs.
Mature how risk is monitored and measured to bring identify key information to make insightful decisions.
Deliver change with a continuous improvement mindset.
Apply organizational re-design and process re-engineering methodologies.
Partner with FCRM stakeholders to identify, scope and execute organizational and operational initiatives to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the FCRM function.
Develop and implement strategic solutions to highly complex and potentially companywide business challenges.
Lead a team and develop long-term, high-risk strategies to achieve key business objectives.
Collaborate with peers and leaders to develop highly complex, multi-year projects, strategies, goals, and business ventures.
Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Financial Crimes
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Fraud, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery, Corruption experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience designing and executing enterprise-wide financial crimes risk management programs, including emerging risk initiatives, metric development, and analysis.
Experience presenting to regulators financial crimes related matters.
Experience in assessing financial crime risk issues enterprise-wide across multiple businesses.
Expert-level knowledge of AML laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC regulations and associated compliance programs.
Deep experience in managing exam/audit analysis at large, complex bank, financial institution or equivalent.
Deep understanding of the ever-evolving governance and regulatory environments as well as industry and financial crime-related best practices.
Advanced level of organizational skills to make tough, informed decisions and thoughtfully share independent perspectives.
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with an ability to translate ambiguous ideas/issues into well-defined plans/solutions with a track-record for delivering results.
Advanced level of communication skills, both orally and in writing, to be able to ask well-crafted questions and present ideas in a clear and compelling manner.
Ability to develop and articulate sound proposals to key stakeholders, and an ability to influence and drive timely decision making.
Proven ability to cultivate relationships and collaborate with multiple stakeholders and constituencies, including business leaders, legal, audit and multiple U.S. and non-U.S. regulators.
Proven experience establishing a large-scale vision, developing the strategy to support the vision, gaining consensus across key functional leadership areas through effective communication and successful delivery against goals and objectives.
Experience driving large-scale organizational change.
Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, ensuring proper staffing and expertise, and manage the establishment of major policies and relevant compliance programs across major business divisions within a large and complex organization.
Advanced Degree preferred (Masters, MBA, or JD).
