Join the Kelly Services team, onsite at Caterpillar in Wamego, KS as a Fabrication Machine Assistant. As a Fabrication Assistant, you will be working directly with the Caterpillar team to fabricate, bend, bevel, and cut parts to make work tools products.

Available Shifts:
1st Monday - Thursday, 5a - 330p, with Friday overtime
*Starts at $12.75/h, paid weekly, 90 Day Increase Possible to $14.25/h
2nd Monday - Thursday, 330p - 2a, with Friday overtime
*Starts at $13.70/h, paid weekly, 90 Day Increase Possible to $15.20/h
WHAT YOU DO...
- Remove parts from the cutting table with the overhead crane, jib crane, hand magnet or by hand
- Clean cut parts and place them on the correct pallet for delivery to the warehouse, or secondary operations
- Inspect iron appearance and compare iron thickness and type to specs so parts are cut from specified and quality material
- Operates forklift to move iron to where it is needed or stored
- Inspect iron appearance and compare iron thickness and type to specs so parts are cut from specified and quality material
- Assist with cut or bend machines when needed
HOW TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE...
- Have awesome attendance, and top-notch work ethic
- Confidently measure and use a measuring tape
- Have a mechanical aptitude
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb on and around parts and machinery
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Willing to work overtime as needed (50+ hours not uncommon)
