Join our Sales & Marketing team with an unmatched depth of capabilities and help our customers solve for some of the world’s toughest challenges.Location/Division Specific InformationKansas City/Lenexa, Kansas, United States (Must be OnsiteDiscover Impactful Work:The Inside Sales Manager is in charge of inspiring and developing a team of inside sales representatives within our Food/Pharma/Biotech portfolios in Microbiology who sell primarily by using the telephone, but also email, Internet, and other technology. This role is accountable for ensuring the team has effective customer relations, develops incremental revenue targets within an existing customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profitability forecasts. This is an excellent position for an experienced professional who enjoys completing account planning and forecasting, analyzing reports on business, and leading the performance of the team!Key responsibilities will be:

Recruit, develop and retain top talent, leading the strategic direction for the inside sales team to drive strategies to meet plan and expand business as well as ensure that the team maintains a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives and profitability targets

Use available resources to meet customer needs and work effectively with cross-functional team of Marketing, Channel and other internal resources

Perform sales calls and vendor relations meetings with current and potential customers by phone, or in person as determined necessary

Research competitor and industry activity and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan; introduce new products and services

Show initiative to develop programs to drive revenue improvements in any economic condition

Maintain consistent alignment with leadership and organization goals

Reports out to leadership on performance, opportunities, challenges, changes in market dynamics along with action plans for any course correction

Keys to Success:Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the sciences

5 years of sales experience

Prior management experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills, motivated by a bias for action and capable of delivering excellent customer service

Ability to develop talent to deliver consistent hard-working results

Consistent record of leadership in establishing goals and achieving results, while possessing the organization skills to multi-task and meet job requirements as needed

Willing to travel to customer and other corporate locations, if needed

Proficient in SFDC lead and opportunity management and creation

Demonstrates desire and capability to strengthen core proficiencies in leadership and business management
