DescriptionPosition: Principal Engineer – Transmission Line (Remote)About the Role: As a Principal Engineer specializing in transmission lines, you will play a pivotal role in routing, designing, and executing high voltage transmission line projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV.Key Responsibilities:Conduct structure analysis and loading tree assessments.Perform wire sag and tension analysis.Develop design criteria and specifications for transmission line design.Procure materials and estimate project costs.Perform quality control reviews.Regularly communicate with clients and external personnel to ensure project alignment and success.What We’re Looking For:A Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or active preparation for the PE exam.At least 4 years of experience in the routing and design of high voltage overhead transmission line facilities.Proficiency in designing 69kV to 500kV overhead lines, including expertise in Power Line Systems software (PLS, PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE).Experience with the design of drilled pier foundations.Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI 318.Who We Are:ENTRUST Solutions Group, an ENR Top 100 company, is a community of people, 3,000+ strong, who are committed to our clients and each other.
