THE POSITION: The Accountant I is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting transactions and reconciliations including posting entries to the general ledger, analyzing data, month-end close processes, and collaborating with employees throughout the organization. This position also works with third party auditors to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting. This position will primarily be devoted to accounting functions within our Agency business, but may also be involved within the broader EVERSANA accounting functions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  These results are achieved by:Responsible for meeting established month end close deadlines for preparing assigned journal entriesWork with various business units to prepare and post monthly journal entriesAssistant in accounting for cash, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other key balance sheet and income statement accounts.Assist in various invoicing related task for our advertising agency and other business units including preparing and reviewing billing templates, reconciling pass-through expenses to billings, and assisting in compiling information for the invoicing process.Lead the resolution of issues on all assigned accounts and reconciliations to ensure proper and accurate reportingPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations on a timely basisPrepare monthly fixed asset reports and journal entriesPrepare audit schedules and work directly with external auditors on related itemsRecommend and implement improvements to accounting controls, procedures and policiesCapable of communicating with all levels within the organizationServe as backup to other roles within the Finance department as neededDemonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias. All other duties as assigned Consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable state and local laws, it is the policy of EVERSANA to provide reasonable accommodation when requested by an employee with a disability, unless such accommodation would cause an undue hardship for EVERSANA.
