Focus of tasks will generally be related to highway and railway bridges and culverts.We are seeking a detail-oriented CADD (Computer-Aided Design & Drafting) Technician to create, maintain, and modify design plan drawings. The CAD Technician will work closely with a senior technician, engineers, and project managers to ensure all drawings meet client expectations and quality standards. Projects include highway and railway bridges and culverts.What You’ll Do:
Assists in the preparation of construction details, design plans, reports, and relevant project related materials utilizing computer aided drafting, design software and various other computer software packages.
Transfers information in numerical, written and sketched, or electronic format from sources such as legal descriptions, survey data, aerial photographs and computer files to final plans and maps.
Assist in coordinating with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and verify design details according to company standards and best practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
Associate of Science in Drafting or Technical School or related, or
In lieu education, 2 years of relevant experience
What We Prefer:
AutoCAD or MicroStation experience
Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
Ability to utilize mathematics including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
Exposure to draftingg in 3D
Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings
Interest in transportation, highways, bridges and structures
