Responsibilities include: assists patients with frame and lens selections, coating options, repairs and adjustments; educates patients on lens and frame options in relation to lifestyle needs; meets sales goals; educates patients on insurance coverage and benefits as well as pricing; assists in quality inspection of glasses; assists with frame board management & merchandising; maintains the appearance of the dispensary; efficiently submits orders to lab and insurance.
Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Dispensing Optician and possess a complete understanding of optics and lensometry, troubleshooting, adjustment and repair; as well as insurance and electronic medical records. Must have a detailed knowledge of current fitting standards and modern fashion trends, and ability to maintain frame inventory and merchandise. Seeking a candidate who is cross-trained as an Optometric Technician and/or in the front office.
