SUMMARY

The Logistics and Crating Specialist is responsible for safely and efficiently crating industrial equipment, as well as maintaining their status in the ERP system. They will also deliver and unload materials to and from the 3 Magnum Parsons facilities. This position will work closely with many other team members in a fast paced, results-oriented environment with great communication and teamwork.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS.

Manage crating schedule and timing

Load and unload trucks using fork truck

Work with Shipping Manager and Assembly Manager to design and construct wooden crating and skids to safely ship equipment to customers

Load, unload, and transport material between the 3 Magnum Parsons facilities

Work with Shipping Manager to expedite orders as needed to meet monthly goals

Update ERP with crating status of jobs

Monitor shipping supplies for reorder

Ensure product quality and accuracy

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum 1-year related crating experience

Basic experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word.

Valid US Driver's License

Preferred:

Minimum 1 year experience with an ERP software

Minimum 5 years' experience crating industrial equipment

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to safely drive a flatbed truck with extended trailer as well as a moving style box truck.

Ability to effectively communicate orally, written, and electronically.

Ability to view and read spreadsheets and other written documents as well as computer monitors.

Ability to drive, load, and unload a moving style box truck as well as a flab bed truck and trailer.

Ability to drive a fork truck safely and pass fork truck driving test

Ability to measure, cut and assemble wood structures

Ability to use a chop saw, pneumatic nail gun and stapple gun

Effective use of computer keyboard, telephone and other applicable electronic communication equipment.

Must be detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills.

Critical thinking and strong problem-solving abilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT

100% of time spent on the production floor performing shipping duties, 10% at desk.

Will work in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 60 degrees.

Noise level in the production environment may require use of hearing protection.

Eye protection required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs.

Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time)

Ability to climb up to 6' ladders

May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.

May be required to access elevated surfaces either by stairs or ladder.
