Find whole-person care, dedicated teams and staff, and a wide variety of medical services, all at our hospital in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.The role you’ll contribute:The Fitness Supervisor is responsible for the development of new fitness and wellness programs for members and guests of the Wellness Center along with its corporate clients and community partnerships. The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the Fitness Team along with the sale and scheduling of appointments and classes. Responsible for Fitness Team schedules and assigning support staff to off-site corporate and community events. The Supervisor will work closely with leadership team in the development of new business opportunities for the Wellness Center. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.The value you’ll bring to the team:
May oversee the Fitness Team schedules along with the hiring and training of new team members. Oversees operational sales and booking of services. Sets a tone of professionalism and superior service for the Fitness Team
Works with leadership and AdventHealth Service line teams to help create and implement new fitness and clinical integration programs and products. Provides sales reports to leadership to include Fitness Team sales and productivity
Research fitness trends and new technologies for potential program offerings. Evaluates additional technologies or equipment needed for Wellness Center and off-site businesses. Provides recommendations based on needs-based research
May be responsible for all aspects of corporate fitness services including, development, implementation, execution, tracking, and summaries. Communicates with Creation Health Strategies team to schedule and staff community events and support the Creation offerings with Wellness Center Staff and resources. Evaluates and observes fitness staff's participation in off-site events and gives feedback for coaching and recognition opportunities to leaders
Manages Fitness Staff Schedules including, floor time, cleaning schedules, and outside corporate or community events.Works with membership, front desk and fitness departments to help cover gaps in daily schedule when needed. Assists in covering exercise floor, events, perform assessments, etc.
Ensures the cleanliness and operational standards of the fitness areas are maintained at all times
May be responsible for the coordination of tournaments and special activities for all members, guests and community
Required to work variable shifts, including rotating days, nights and weekends
Performs other duties as assigned
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:Experience working with the chronic health condition population or senior population is highly preferredAbility to prepare and give professional presentationsOrganized and detail orientedUnderstanding of fitness industry trendsMust be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational EnglishBasic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft OfficeKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:Public speaking skillsExperience in sales and event schedulingEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelors 1 years experience
Two years' experience in event coordination and scheduling
One year of Supervisory/Leadership experience
