The Role:As more and more of our communication happens in the digital world, security and privacy are becoming increasingly important to our brand and to our products. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer Intern to concept and create new privacy solutions to be used in our future camera conferencing products. You will brainstorm, design, and build your ideas with help from a senior mechanical engineer and present your prototype at the end of the internship. In this role you will:Ideate, project plan, and get valuable experience in building 3D CAD models, prototyping, and receiving manufacturability feedback
Concept and prototype integrated privacy ideas for use in camera and/or microphone products
Key Qualifications:For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:Hands on experience with prototyping and design execution
Skilled with 3D CAD software
Not afraid to ask questions and be proactive
In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:Knowledge of different manufacturing methods and related design constraints
Experience with mechanism design or mechatronics a plus
Education:Working on a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree. College juniors, seniors, or graduate students are encouraged to apply.
