PatchMaster, a growing national drywall repair company, is opening a new service area in Topeka, and we are looking for a foundational drywall repair tech with the experience, professionalism, and hard-working attitude to scale up our business while providing excellent results for our customers.
PatchMaster provides end-to-end drywall repair services, including painting, to make damaged areas look brand new. We also provide services like popcorn ceiling removal and plaster repair. Our promises are that we show up on time, we do excellent work, and we clean up after ourselves. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, articulate, outgoing, personable and presentable, and can follow a specific process to perform quality drywall repairs.
Unlike other companies that subcontract, PatchMaster has full-time, W-2 employees. This means we provide you with a wrapped Ford Transit cargo van to keep at your home and take on jobs; we provide you will a full array of tools and all materials and supplies you need for any job; and we do all the work of scheduling jobs and producing quotes. This allows our techs to focus on the thing they do best: drywall repair and finishing.
The payscale for this job is your choice of either $30 an hour, or 10% of each job which is preferred by our more efficient techs. You will start as a 1099 for the first few jobs, and will move quickly to full-time W-2 once we are both comfortable with the match.
Your day-to-day will include:
Working with customers to provide an excellent experience
Remove, install, repair, and patch drywall and plaster in customer homes and businesses
Remove outdated texture from walls and ceilings
Paint repairs with color match and texture match as needed
Minimum qualifications:
5+ years of experience with drywall installation or repairs required
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Fluent in English
Pass background check
Must own a smartphone
