The Engineering Technician is responsible for managing raw material specifications, work instructions, bills of material, testing requirements, and manufacturing parameters within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Quality systems. The position also coordinates and completes raw material and finished goods testing and may lead raw material qualifications.
Essential Duties1. Manage technical data including, but not limited to, material specifications, work instructions, bills of material, testing requirements, and manufacturing parameters within various ERP and Quality systems.
2. Complete and manage engineering drawings and documentation as directed.
3. Coordinate and complete testing of materials.
4. Lead product or process improvement projects related to product design.
5. Other duties as assigned.
1. Associate degree in engineering technology or similar field.
2. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
3. Experience in a manufacturing environment.
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or similar field.
2. Experience with CAD software.
3. Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Access.
4. Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards, QAD, or SAP.
5. Exposure to industry and government specifications such as ISO, ASTM, EN, MIL, DTL, and OSHA.
6. Working knowledge of metals (steel, copper, zinc, aluminum), polymers, or natural fibers.
