ResponsibilitiesSpirit AeroSystems’ Supply Chain Management Organization is responsible for the procurement of all materials and services. A Senior Manager in Supply Chain is responsible for leading a team of purchasing professionals through the life cycle of purchased components from requirement identification, sourcing, order placement and receipt/ delivery to the assembly line. Activities include, but are not limited to, the development, integration, implementation, and execution of multi-disciplinary business processes. Works cross-functionally with internal and external customers, suppliers, and all employee levels to carry out responsibilities. Key Accountabilities
Responsible for direct reports, including First Level Managers and procurement staff
Mentor, coach, and train employees
Oversee sourcing, contracting, transfer of work and execution of multiple Defense programs
Integration of disciplines from more than one job family
Strategic oversight for new program startups to specify supply chain needs
Effectively communicate program status to Prime and Customer
Engage with Program Integrated Product Teams for successful execution
Oversee Schedule negotiations during start-up phase of programs
Work to negotiate items in Basis of Estimates with Program Management
Manage Internal and External Customer relations
Empower the team to execute business needs
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
US Citizenship status and the ability to obtain and withhold a security clearance
6-10 years of experience as a Supply Chain Professional and/or Management experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge of Procurement Process
Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
Experience working with multiple cross-functional groups
Strong Project Management and Time Management Skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience presenting to and interacting with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain or other relevant course of study MBA or Master’s Degree
Experience with SAP / MRP Systems
Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Truthful Cost or Pricing Data
Some travel may be required
