Lice Clinics of America is the leading lice treatment center in the United States. Lice Clinics of America Midsouth has five locations: Wichita, Northwest Arkansas, Springfield MO, Tulsa OK and OKC, OK.
Medical Technicians are responsible for the exceptional care of LCA patients, clinic, and other duties assigned by management.
Technician Responsibilities
Elite level customer service from beginning of appointment to end of appointment
Head checking individuals and families for lice (10-15 minutes per person)
Perform lice treatments (Full, Express, Comb-Out) as needed per patient (75-90 minutes)
Provide client education regarding lice facts, treatments, and prevention
Enter visit notes for each patient seen
Selling and assisting with Lice Protection Plans (LPP’s) contracts / memberships
Keeping shelves stocked for retail sales
Make kits for retail sales
Assist manager with inventory for each month
Cleaning between each appointment and at end of shift. Including but not limited to: Laundry, Keeping stations stocked and clean, Keeping client amenities stocked and ready, Keeping client areas clean, Clean instruments following the cleaning protocol, including lice combs, Wipe down all areas used by clients, Take out trash, Mop / sweep areas as needed to avoid oil / hair debris, occasional deep cleaning of clinic
Proficient in Software systems and technology (word, excel and google docs)
Physical Demands
This role is responsible for being on your feet for 6-8 hours at a time.
1099 Production Technician Pay Scale
The Medical Technician is a sub-contractor position. While you choose the days and times you work, any change must be submitted 2 weeks in advance for management planning purposes. Any sick time or emergency time off are to be communicated as soon as possible and a minimum of 2 hours before scheduled shift.
Technicians earn approximately $20 an hour (based on treatments, head checks, etc) and can earn 10% commission as well as tips. It can be a very lucrative position, especially for those that are an extrovert, have medical knowledge and are outgoing!
