THIS IS A START-UP HOME CARE BUSINESS. WE ARE SEARCHING FOR CANDIDATES THAT CAN FILL AND HOLD THIS ADMINISTRATIVE POSITION WHILE WE WORK ON THE PAPERWORK TO OBTAIN THE OPERATING PERMIT IN THE STATE OF KANSAS.
Title of Treasurer will grant the Alternate-Administrator a seat on the governing board giving them executive power when it comes to business operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Shall be a person with training and experience in health service administration or a qualified health professional (physician, RN, physical therapist, occupational therapist, respiratory therapist, speech therapist, dietitian, or social worker licensed in the state of Kansas).
A Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration or similar field of study is preferred.
At least one (1) year of supervisory or administrative experience in home care, private duty, environmental support, or related health programs.
In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, a minimum of two years of home care experience.
Must meet initial and ongoing educational requirements as stipulated by the State.
DUTIES OF POSITION :
Act as the Administrator in the absence of the Administrator and directs and coordinates all administrative and financial activities of the professional home Agency.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organizing and directing the Agency’s ongoing functions.
Act as a liaison between the Governing Body and staff.
Employ qualified personnel in accordance with job descriptions.
Provide written personnel policies and job descriptions that are made available to all employees.
Maintain appropriate personnel records, administrative records, and all policies and procedures for the agency.
Provide orientation for new staff, regularly scheduled in-service education programs, and opportunities for continuing education for the staff.
Ensure completion, maintenance, and submission of such reports and records as required by the Secretary of Health and Environment.
Ensure that each client admitted to the agency receives, in writing, the client bill of rights listed in K.A.R. 28-51-111.
