Troubleshoot using working knowledge of programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, hydraulics, and phneumatics. Performs plumbing and pipefitting duties as required on plant piping, such as steam, water, air, gas, and chemical lines. Operates and repairs electrically and mechanically, all boilers, compressors, sprinklers, cooling towers and pumps as needed. Read and interpret machine electrical and mechanical drawings. Reads and interprets blue prints and schematic diagrams. Installation, modification and fabrication of equipment and systems to meet production needs and schedules. Welds and fabricates as necessary for repair or projects. Maintains interior and exterior of buildings including windows, drain spouts, roofs, floors, ceiling, etc. Inputs and retrieves information from the Maint Management/PM System. Participate in continuous improvement in safety, quality and housekeeping. Performs preventative maintenance as directed. Performs various inspections on safety equipment. Requisitions material, parts and tools. Communicate clearly from one shift to another and to the Maintenance Groupleader/Foreman and Maintenance Manager. Coordinates the scheduling of repairs with department managers. Actively participates in adhering to plant housekeeping requirements by picking up trash, sweeping work areas, and returning materials and equipment to their proper locations. Reads and comprehends instructions regarding new equipment, equipment changes and/or procedural changes. Other tasks as determined by the Maintenance Manager.
