About the Role
As a Tutor for Adults with Disabilities, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals, especially those with autism, in their learning journey. This part-time position offers a competitive rate of $35.00 per hour with bi-weekly pay, and there is potential for the role to transition into a full-time position as our services expand. MUST HAVE PREVIOUS TEACHING OR CURRENT TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Responsibilities:
Custom Lesson Planning: Create tailored lesson plans based on the individual needs and goals of each client.
Client Interaction: Work directly with disabled adults, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Travel: Must be willing to travel to clients' homes across New Jersey for sessions.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education Background:
A degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field is preferred but NOT required.
Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly autism.
MUST HAVE PREVIOUS TEACHING OR CURRENT TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Compassion: Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and understanding in working with diverse clients.
Personality Traits: Outgoing, friendly, and able to build positive relationships with clients.
Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and proactively create effective lesson plans.
