The mobility aide will provide direct patient care under the supervision of the therapists and RN’s.Essential Key Job Responsibilities
Prepares room, equipment, supplies and patient for transfer and ambulation.
Follows special instructions as provided by therapist or nursing.
Assist with or performs transfer, mobility activity and ambulation as directed by therapist or nursing.
Monitors patient response to activity and reports to nursing or therapist.
Determines need for and properly implements safety measures for the patient during and following activity.
Records patient mobility and activity in patient flow sheet accurately and in timely manner.
Completes tracking flow sheets as instructed and give them to supervisor in a timely manner
Adjusts level of assistance to the patient’s ability/level of independence, encourages independence.
Utilizes proper body mechanics necessary to insure personal safety and patient safety during patient/material handling
