Thoroughbred Aviation Maintenance seeks a full time aircraft painter for our Lexington airport location. Job tasks include paint prep, chemical & mechanical stripping, fiberglass repairs, shooting primer, single stage and two stage paints. You will be working on aircraft components, assemblies, and entire, finished aircraft.
The ideal candidate would have verified paint experience in the automotive, marine or aviation field. Demonstrated experience in a body shop, mod shop or similar preferred. Painters on assembly lines or in manufacturing plants are also encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be on task, self-motivated, have attention to detail and good application skills. Experience with irregular, curved surfaces or exposed fasteners/rivets helpful.
We will provide aviation specific training, consumables, PPE, paint specific tools, etc. Compensation is $20-30 per hour based on experience.
