About the Job
ABM Facility Services, is a facility management service company and a nationwide provider of operations and support services. We have an immediate opening for a Machinist at our Berea, KY Location.
Essential Functions
Operates and maintains small internal machine shop inside an industrial setting. Responsible for fabrication of replacement parts and critical components in a timely fashion. Design and development of new parts, as well as repair of damaged equipment. Will work closely with engineers, and other maintenance professionals to minimize down time and improve plant productivity.
Will be part of a preventive maintenance program and will be required to thoroughly and accurately complete reactive and preventive paperwork of assigned PMs.
Machine shop includes, vertical mills, lathes, surface grinders, OD grinders and various other tools of the trade.
Shift is Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
Starting pay $20-$23 hourly, paid weekly
Benefit package after 1 year
Essential Requirements
- Technical school graduate (Certificate is a plus).
- At least 3 years of machining experience.
-Basic machining functions of, dimensioning, boring, broaching. Etc. within .001
-Ability to maintain and service machine equipment.
- Ability to keep straightforward records of activities performed.
- Some experience with Preventive Maintenance Programs a plus.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
- Assist in emergency repairs.
All tooling and necessary equipment will be provided.
CNC Experience is not required.
