Production Manager

Blue Heron is searching for production Manager to join our team. The production manager oversee the day-to-day execution of the gene synthesis and plasmid operations at the Blue Heron. Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesOversees, directs, coordinates and prioritizes the daily activities related Blue Heron GeneMaker® platform including Gene synthesis, plasmid DNA and IVTmRNA production.Plan and organize the production schedule while ensuring compliance with safety regulationsRecruit, mentor, train, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team.Drive operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.Serve as the primary technical and operational troubleshooting leader for the production organization.Identify manufacturing bottlenecks, implement corrective actions, and improve workflow scalability.Manage production materials, inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships while controlling costs and ensuring supply continuity.Support implementation and optimization of manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and production technologies.Develop and maintain process controls, equipment validation programs, KPIs, and manufacturing metrics.Ensure compliance with ISO 13485:2016 standards, internal quality systems, and applicable regulatory requirements.Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to support new product introduction and manufacturing scale-up initiatives.Foster a strong culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
