Job Title: Executive Chef
Location: Audubon Country Club, Louisville, Kentucky
Reports To: General Manager / Club Manager
Summary: The Executive Chef at Audubon Country Club will be a visionary culinary leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service operations. This role demands a leader with extensive culinary experience, proven management skills, and financial acumen to achieve cost-efficiency while delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and member satisfaction.
Menu Development: Create and update menus seasonally, ensuring high-quality standards and incorporating member preferences.
Financial Management: Develop and manage kitchen budgets, control food costs, optimize labor expenses, and work towards profitability.
Team Development: Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff. Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards; maintain certifications as required by law.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef, with a proven record of success in high-end or club settings.
Strong financial management skills; experience managing budgets and optimizing costs.
Demonstrated leadership ability with strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of contemporary food trends and diverse cuisines.
Proficiency in culinary software and systems for inventory and cost management.
