GENERAL RESPONSIBILITES: The Houseperson is responsible for the day to day overall cleanliness and upkeep of the clubhouse and supporting buildings. General set-up and take down of all banquet displays and tables, working in close contact with Dining and Beverage Managers. Houseperson maintains the highest standards in outward appearance of the immediate public areas surrounding the club, including the pool and patios.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Basic housekeeping skills with attention to detail, as well as the ability to use various cleaning materials and equipment and basic hand tools in a safe and accurate manner. Must be able to work without direct supervision and complete tasks on time.

REPORTING: The Houseperson reports to Housekeeping Supervisor and/or the Director of Maintenance.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1) Clean and maintain all areas of the clubhouse as necessary and as authorized by Housekeeping Supervisor.

2) Maintain the cleanliness of the Mens and Ladies Locker Room, including but not limited to the floors, walls, furnishings and equipment. This would include bathroom facilities (toilets, sinks, showers, saunas and steam room)

3) General cleaning of clubhouse including administrative areas, break area and employee restrooms.

4) Cleaning and upkeep of restroom on golf course. And daily cleaning of Wandas and the Pool snack bar. Includes supplies, sweeping and mopping and trash removal.

5) Must be able to lift 50 (fifty) pounds unassisted on a repeat basis throughout an 8 (eight) hour shift.

6) Must be able to maneuver 50 (fifty) pound tables up/down stairs unassisted.

7) Must be physically able to work standing for 6 (six) to 8 (eight) hours a day.

8) Maintains the cleanliness of carpeted flooring.

9) Vacuums all carpeted areas and mops resilient flooring.

10) Dust all wooden furniture daily throughout club. Polish any brass or silver with appropriate solvents/polishes on a weekly basis or as needed.

11) Sweep, collect trash and straightens all patio areas of the Club.

12) Cleans interior glass on a daily basis.

13) Cleans and dust exercise equipment. Vacuums exercise room daily. Restocks towels, cups and empties trash.

14) Empties all wastebasket liners throughout club and disposes daily in dumpster.

15) During the season when a wood fire is appropriate in the Adult Grill, this is to be cleaned daily and fire wood restocked throughout the house persons shift.

16) Responsible for banquet setup/reset of rooms throughout clubhouse as required for normal operation of club, insuring all rooms are neat and ready for use.

17) Keep storage areas neat and organized.

18) Will work closely with Kitchen staff to insure any requirements for tables/furniture are met.

19) Must be willing and able to work all weekends and Holidays.

20) Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at the Clubs sole discretion.

21) Must be committed to a high standard of safety, be willing and able to comply with all of the Clubs safety policies, rules and must be willing to report safety violations, potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or Management personnel.

22) Must have a positive attitude, greeting the Members verbally in passing.
