Job Title: Live-In House Manager Roommate

Location: Prospect

Start Date: Immediate Opening Temporary position employment ends August 2025. Opportunity for full time employment if job performance exceeds previous/current house manager.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and trustworthy Live-In House Manager Roommate to oversee the daily operations of our private residence. This role combines household management, property maintenance coordination, dog sitting and daily walking for a giant and sometimes aggressive canine (who won’t show you any affection in return because he only loves his dad), and personal assistance duties. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional who can manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining the highest standards of discretion and service.

Key Responsibilities

Household Operations Management

- Oversee daily household operations including cleaning schedules, maintenance, and vendor coordination

- Manage household staff including housekeepers, gardeners, and maintenance personnel

- Coordinate with contractors and service providers for repairs, installations, and improvements

- Maintain household inventories and manage procurement of supplies and equipment

- Ensure security protocols are followed and manage alarm systems and access controls

Property Maintenance

- Conduct regular property inspections and address maintenance issues promptly

- Coordinate seasonal property preparations and weather-related preparations

- Manage pool, spa, and outdoor area maintenance schedules

- Oversee HVAC, plumbing, and electrical system maintenance

- Maintain detailed records of all property maintenance and improvements

Administrative Duties

- Manage household budgets and expense tracking

- Handle correspondence and communications on behalf of the household

- Coordinate household schedules, appointments, and service calls

- Maintain detailed logs and reports of household activities

- Process invoices and manage vendor relationships

Event & Guest Coordination

- Participate in and assist in preparation for household events and entertaining

- Prepare guest accommodations and ensure seamless hospitality

- Coordinate catering, staffing, and logistics for events

- Manage guest services and special requests

Personal Assistant Functions

- Handle personal errands and shopping as needed

- Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries

- Manage personal appointments and scheduling

- Assist with special projects and personal requests

Required Qualifications

Experience & Skills

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in household management, hospitality, or estate management

- Proven experience managing staff and coordinating multiple vendors

- Strong organizational and project management abilities

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficiency in technology including smartphones, tablets, and household management software

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform light physical tasks

- Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in luxury residential or hospitality settings

- Knowledge of home systems including security, automation, and maintenance

- Event planning or catering coordination experience

- Additional language skills

- First aid/CPR certification

Living Arrangements

- Private living quarters provided on-property (separate entrance, bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette)

- Utilities and basic household amenities included

- Parking space provided

- Reasonable personal privacy and time off respected

Compensation and Benefits:

This is an unpaid position but you get to live in our house for free and sample large quantities of high end bourbon.

Schedule and Availability

- Primary schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 6 PM

- Flexibility required for occasional evenings, weekends, and events

- On-call availability for emergencies

- Minimum 2 consecutive days off per week guaranteed

- Annual vacation time negotiable
