Description We are inviting applications for the role of Accounts Payable Specialist in our team located in Newport, Kentucky. As an integral part of our construction/contractor industry team, your primary focus will be on managing and processing high volumes of accounts payable tasks. You will also be leveraging your skills to handle software like Sage Timberline and other accounting systems. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Efficient management of accounts payable and other accounting functions. Processing high volume of AP and initiating check runs. Utilization of accounting software systems, predominantly Sage Timberline, to perform tasks. Accurate coding of accounts and maintaining up-to-date records. Handling business licenses and other related documentation. Monitoring Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. Ensuring accurate cost-job allocations. Timely resolution of customer inquiries and issues. Regularly reviewing customer accounts and taking necessary actions.Requirements Proficient in Account Coding, able to accurately assign expenses to the correct budget categories. Experience with Accounting Software Systems, ensuring swift and efficient processing of financial data. Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services, to manage payroll and other financial transactions. Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions, to ensure all financial operations are conducted smoothly. Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), responsible for processing invoices and issuing payments. Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, to handle electronic money transfers. Proficiency in Sage Timberline, an industry-specific accounting software to streamline financial management. Understanding of Cost-Job, able to allocate expenses to specific construction projects. Experience with Check Runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.
