Firestone engineers air springs and related products for commercial trucks and trailers, cars, sport utility vehicles, light trucks, mini vans, motor homes, buses, agricultural equipment, rail and industrial applications.Job CategorySupply Chain & ProcurementPosition SummaryResponsible for procurement (e.g., purchasing and supply chain activities), as well as vendor management (e.g., negotiation, purchase, and relationships associated with outsourced services). Responsibilities include: Accountable for obtaining goods / services required by the organization including Indirect Operations (e.g., Office Supplies, Computers, Travel, Maintenance, Machine Parts, etc.) and Direct Operations (e.g., Raw Materials and Services for Manufacturing, Production or Construction; Products for Retail, etc.)o Product / Service Sourcingo Supplier Selectiono Pricing / Terms Negotiationo Order Processingo Contract Administrationo Supplier Performance Management Manages or performs strategic sourcing work to manage risk and optimize the value/resilience of materials/services sourcing including:o Establishing supplier relationship management processes and continuous improvementgoals/programs.o Negotiating contracts and coordinating supplier integration plans with internal clients.o Monitors market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing.o Partners with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, develop buyer/market profiles,identify marketplace trends, and define acceptable service levelsResponsibilities Works on problems of limited scope and contributes on projects or processes while receiving detailed instructions from higher level professionals Contributes to the planning, design development, testing, and completion of projects Other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree; or equivalent work experienceBridgestone is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
