Description We are offering a short-term contract to full time Accounting Clerk position with our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be a vital part of our team, handling various accounting and administrative duties. This role involves managing Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), supporting general accounting processes, and ensuring accurate and efficient data entry.Responsibilities: Conducting thorough account reconciliation tasks to maintain accurate financial records Processing and filing vendor invoices as part of accounts payable support Assisting in the management of Accounts Receivable by processing daily invoices and credits, applying cash receipts, and contributing to collection of overdue balances Engaging in general accounting support activities including helping with General Ledger account reconciliation and month-end closing processes Correcting and revising transaction documents as needed, which may involve modifications to other documents or entries Classifying expenditure codes and accounting codes as part of document coding tasks Utilizing multiple sources to prepare financial statements and reports Manually or electronically posting financial information to journals, registers, and ledgers Checking all possible sources of disagreement to reconcile discrepancies, reconstructing probable actions, and preparing correction documents as required Assisting in budgetary control by keeping an eye on budgets and initiating or verifying adjustments and transfers Participating in special projects and performing other related duties as assignedRequirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is necessary Demonstrable experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is required Must be adept in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) Capability in Billing is essential Proficient in Data Entry tasks Must be skilled in Microsoft Excel Familiarity with Oracle software is preferable Experience with QuickBooks is a significant advantageRobert Half puts you in the best position to succeed by advocating on your behalf and promoting you to employers.
