The Raising Cane's River Center / SMG has opportunities available for Food and Beverage Runner candidates in Baton Rouge, LA. The position is great for candidates that are looking to gain experience in the Food and Beverage industry.The ideal candidate will have some work experience and the ability to learn and grown within an industry. Out events range from concerts, Broadway type shows, sporting events, weddings, and private conferences. The Food and Beverage Runner position requires a flexible schedule.The position is responsible for station-based preparation for various types of events and will assist in accurate accounting and inventory controls for each event.Other Duties Include

Provide great customer service.

Coordinate with the Concessions Supervisors, Bartenders and/or Runners to maintain adequate inventory levels for proper and uninterrupted concessions/bar service.

Interact with customers, clients and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner.

Fulfilling the service requirements detailed in each Banquet Event Orders (BEO) or at the request of your Supervisor.

Responsible for all Banquet equipment cleanliness and assisting in annual maintenance.

Assist in the creation, design and set-up of buffets and coffee break décor.

Assist in the setup, execution and breakdown of all catering functions.

Abide by and maintain established accurate inventory control procedures at all times.

Assist in cleaning of uniforms and banquet linens.

Maintain safe, secure, and sanitary working conditions and leave work area in a clean and orderly fashion.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent

Must be able to pass a background check

Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results in a fast-paced environment.

Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.

Must be able to stand/walk for the duration of shift and must be able to carry and lift according to industry standards

Basic working knowledge of food and beverage operations and food preparation.

Must have a positive attitude and neat appearance.

Working Conditions: Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
