CHS’s Trading Compliance and New Product Risk team is seeking a CHS Hedging LLC (Futures Commission Merchant, Commodity Trading Advisor) Compliance Expert to assist the CHS Hedging Chief Compliance Officer with ongoing requirements of the compliance program. The Expert will be responsible to help evaluate components of the compliance program and related operational framework and lead compliance projects that may be required to enhance our policies and procedures based on the assessment. CHS Hedging business model continues to evolve and the Expert will be responsible to provide input related to any compliance issues and provide potential solutions. In this role, you will support the growth of CHS Hedging and CHS Inc’s compliance organization and help strengthen the company’s culture of integrity. You will be expected to deliver high quality and high impact advice and solutions consistent with the CHS Integrity Framework.Responsibilities25% - Daily Operations and Strategic Support:Responsible for having a full understanding of all trading, execution requirements of exchange and over the counter (OTC) traded instruments such as futures, options, swaps, blocks, etc. Assess and validate regulatory compliance of current processes and work to enhance effectiveness through procedural updates.Partner with Operations, Risk & business to proactively address issues and provide compliance guidance as needed.Identify, develop, and drive solutions/strategies to issues faced by the businesses and the necessary controls around any change.Review trading records and validate that they are properly executed, perform ad hoc audits as needed.Review, research and assess validity of system generated alerts by our surveillance tool for potential trade practice, AML or communication rule violations.20% - Regulatory Policies and Procedures:Lead the development, update and implementation of policies and procedures related to the various compliance areas of oversight and supervisory obligations.Understand relevant rules, regulations and policies at a high level that may impact trading activities or compliance, and partner with Legal, Operations, Risk and Technology to drive holistic and pragmatic policies and processes that identify and respond to risks. Such areas to include but are not limited to: Trading practices, Anti-money Laundering, Risk, Financial Controls, Conflicts of Interest, Fraud, Data Privacy, Records Management, etc.20%- Assist in assessing training requirements and assist in development and compliance training presentations15% - Assist with the enhancements to the compliance program for the new CTA programs. Build team knowledge regarding their obligations and Program Management/Enhancement. Review and approve promotional material created for use by CTA and FCM.20% - Strategic ProjectsMinimum Qualifications (required)

High School diploma or GED

10 years of work experience with 7+ years in commodity risk management in one or more of the following areas: Commodity trading Commodity execution Commodity risk management   Trading compliance  Regulatory Compliance

Thorough knowledge of complex compliance laws, rules and regulations, such as CFTC, NFA, CME, etc., as well as of emerging regulations related to commodity trading activities.  

Additional Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, economics or business, or related area of study.

 Excellent research and analytical skills. ⦁    Excellent writing and verbal communications skills. ⦁    Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels of the organization. ⦁    Adaptable to change and able to prioritize multiple demands under pressure.   ⦁    Ability to assess and understand complex situations presented by the business and provide appropriate compliance solutions.   ⦁    Demonstrated experience and proficiency with interpreting and communicating complex regulatory requirements to business partners. ⦁    Ability to quickly learn and understand organizational structure for the purpose of compliance testing and monitoring. Able to work effectively and meet goals both as part of a team and independently. Team builder. NFA Series 3 registration required or ability to pass within 3 months of hire and Swaps proficiency module Can be remote or in Minnesota. If remote will be required to visit main office quarterly.
