An associate’s degree in information technology will substitute for the baccalaureate degree.

Candidates without a baccalaureate degree may combine experience or training in information technology and college credit to substitute for the required baccalaureate degree as follows:
30 to 59 semester hours credit will substitute for six months of experience or training in information technology towards the baccalaureate degree.
60 to 89 semester hours credit will substitute for one year of experience or training in information technology towards the baccalaureate degree.

The Office of Technology Services will work to increase the return on the State's investment in technology by promoting smart decision-making, solving problems intelligently, increasing the rate of project success, and fostering a skilled and professional staff. The incumbent is responsible for working closely with third-party vendors and executive management to ensure the consistent delivery of IT services.This position is within the Office of Technology Services (OTS), Applications and Data Management (AppDM) and is responsible for functionally directing and managing teams of IT Applications Developers in support of IT projects for the AppDM Safety Cluster. The incumbent will act as the primary project manager on IT projects. In addition, the incumbent will implement and direct AppDM standards for project management, documentation, quality assurance, scope assessment, and risk assessment to ensure successful implementation of supported projects. Supervision is received from an IT Statewide Director or higher-level authority.The duties of this position include the following:Performs lead project management duties for AppDM IT projects.
