Description We are in search of a Medical Billing Specialist for our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The role involves processing and evaluating bills or invoices for services rendered in our industry. The successful candidate will play a significant role in developing financial controls and procedures, ensuring data quality, and maintaining consistent communication with other functional teams. This role offers a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Review and process bills or invoices for services with precision Evaluate billing documents and other data for accuracy, obtaining missing or correct data when necessary Develop and implement financial controls and procedures Collaborate effectively with other functional teams to ensure data quality and consistency Use Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Outlook, and internet applications, to manage and organize data Enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data Utilize skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), Appeals, Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, Claim Administration, and Epic Hospital Billing to perform tasks effectively Resolve customer inquiries and monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficientlyRequirements Proficient in Accounts Receivable (AR) management Experienced in handling billing functions Knowledgeable in claim administration procedures Familiar with benefit functions related to medical billing Skilled in managing appeals processes Proficiency in using Epic Hospital Billing system Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of integrity and confidentiality Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently Prior experience in a similar role is preferred Relevant certification or degree in medical billing or related field is desirableRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
