Principal Engineer, Product MarketingJob DescriptionThe Renesas AI Center of Excellence (AI COE) is seeking a talented and motivated Pr. Product Marketing Manager with expertise in system architecture, topology, and specifications for embedded AI systems. This role is instrumental in defining the technical requirements and configuration of our embedded AI solutions to meet the diverse needs of our customers. The ideal candidate will combine technical acumen with marketing savvy to drive the successful adoption of our embedded AI products in various applications and industries. System Architecture Definition : Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define the system architecture and topology of embedded AI solutions. Determine the optimal configuration of hardware, software, and AI models to achieve performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness goals.

Technical Requirements Gathering : Work closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and use cases for embedded AI systems. Translate customer needs into clear technical specifications and feature prioritization for product development.

Competitive Analysis : Conduct in-depth analysis of competing embedded AI solutions to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning. Identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation in system topology and specifications to gain a competitive edge.

Product Positioning and Messaging : Develop compelling positioning and messaging for our embedded AI products, focusing on system architecture and specifications. Articulate the technical benefits and advantages of our solutions to resonate with target customers and address their pain points.

Technical Collateral Creation: Create technical collateral such as datasheets, product guides, application notes, and technical whitepapers to educate customers and partners about our embedded AI systems. Ensure accuracy and clarity of technical content to facilitate decision-making and implementation.

Sales Enablement : Provide technical training and support to the sales team to effectively communicate the value proposition of our embedded AI products. Equip sales representatives with the knowledge and tools needed to address technical inquiries, overcome objections, and win deals.

Customer Engagement: Engage with customers through technical workshops, webinars, and conferences to demonstrate the capabilities of our embedded AI systems. Gather feedback and insights from customers to inform product roadmap decisions and continuous improvement efforts.

Market Segmentation and Targeting: Identify target market segments and verticals where embedded AI systems have high potential for adoption. Develop tailored messaging and solutions to address the specific needs and requirements of each target segment.

Qualifications

BSEE (MS is a plus) or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field with 5-7 years of embedded systems and semiconductor marketing experience

3 years min. of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or product management roles within the technology industry, with a focus on embedded systems and AI

Knowledge of MCUs and development tools technologies

Strong understanding of system architecture, topology, and specifications for embedded AI systems, including hardware acceleration, neural network optimization, and edge computing

Prior experience managing programs in a cross-functional environment

Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product management, sales, and marketing teams to drive product success

Prior experiencing managing strategic relationships (customer or partner)

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear and compelling messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Exceptional communication skills: presentation creation/delivery, public speaking, and written

Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to inform product strategy and positioning.

Self-starter with a proactive and results-driven attitude, capable of working independently and driving initiatives forward in a fast-paced environment.

Strong drive with ability to take ownership to accomplish objectives

Ability to influence and convince internally and externally

A complete team player with a winning mindset

Must be fluent in English

Strong MS Office skills

Ability and willingness to travel
