Description Robert Half is searching for an experienced Project Accountant who is interested in working with a growing Construction/Contractor firm. In this position, you will be in charge of preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, managing accounts payable and receivable, and processing payroll for this 25-35 person company. Candidates need to bring strong analytical skills to the role and should be capable of handling challenging, fast-paced work environments. Employees receive solid compensation and benefits. Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Payroll processing
Requirements
Requirements:
3+ years experience in construction accounting
Experience with Sage, ADP and Procore is a plus
Knowledge of GAAP and WIP accounting standards
Bachelors degree in accounting is preferred
