Position: Security ManagerReports To: Director of Facility OperationsFSLA Status: Hourly - Non-Exempt Summary:The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of security services at the Raising Cane's River Center, with a primary focus on ensuring the safety and security of all events, ASM employees, and the facility itself. This role involves collaborating closely with the Operations Manager to develop and implement operational policies and security procedures. The Security Manager will lead a team of security supervisors and security guards, ensuring that security operations run smoothly and effectively during events, conventions, trade shows, and day-to-day operations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Supervision and Leadership:

Directly supervise security shift staff, providing guidance, support, and necessary training.

Conduct training on the Evolv security screening system for all users.

Conduct shift briefings to communicate important information and ensure alignment among team members.

Review department checklists and ensure all equipment is accounted for and in working order.

Provide timely feedback and initiate necessary counseling or disciplinary actions for security personnel.

Security Operations:

Oversee the securing of the property, including locking and unlocking facility doors as needed.

Supervise and train the event security team.

Conduct routine property walks to identify and address any security concerns.

Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, coordinating with relevant authorities and departments.

Interact with the public, management, and fellow employees to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Handle unruly individuals and security incidents with professionalism and adherence to protocols.

Collaborate with Event Management staff, local Fire, and Police Departments to coordinate off-duty security details.

Strategic Planning and Implementation:

Work independently to assess and respond to security situations, exercising judgment and decision-making skills.

Ensure the proper functioning of security camera systems, overseeing recording and data storage.

QualificationsEducation and Experience:

High school diploma or G.E.D. required; some college coursework preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of security guard experience, preferably in a similar environment.

At least 2 years of supervisory experience in the security field.

Valid driver's license required.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Effective leadership and supervision of security staff.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.

Proficiency in written and verbal communication.

Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Professional appearance, demeanor, and work ethic.

Basic computer knowledge, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of security camera systems and data storage.

Physical Demands:

Ability to engage in significant walking, climbing, stooping, and potentially heavy lifting.

Work in both indoor and outdoor settings may be required.

May be exposed to adverse conditions, including physical contact with hostile individuals.
