Sr Project Manager - Capital Projects

As a Sr Project Manager - Capital Projects here at Honeywell, you will oversee and manage capital projects for our UOP ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) business unit. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects, from initiation to completion, while meeting safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget. You will report directly to the Director of Engineering and work out of either our Mobile, AL or Baton Rouge, LA locations on a hybrid work schedule.In this role, you will impact the organization by driving the successful delivery of capital projects, contributing to the growth and efficiency of our UOP ISC business unit.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the entire lifecycle of capital projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to project management best practices.

Work closely with the business finance and site controller to provide project evaluation and economic analysis on the capital investments for such managed projects.

Manage the overall effort leading to an approved Appropriation Request (AR).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.

Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.

Responsible for forecasting and managing capital expenditures monthly.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements.

Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in petrochemical environment.

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

WE VALUE

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Experience in the petrochemical or refining industry.

Familiarity with procurement and contract management.

Previous experience working with SAP Project Systems Module and EcoSys.

Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
